Being one of the oldest pilots associations in the USA, Savannah Pilots Association needed to bring their systems into the 21st century. They accept hundreds of phone calls per day many of which are their own pilots calling in for updates. They required a system to reduce their paperwork and produce an online real-time schedule that pilots could access at any time.
The HELM solution was to provide them with a web portal where pilots can access real-time schedules and receive notifications of changes. By doing this, they have reduced the amount of phone calls to the dispatchers and given the pilots their freedom back. They now access their schedules at any time through their web-enabled mobile phones. Capt. Bob Upton says that everyone keeps asking, "Why didn’t we do this years ago?!"
